7 Days Northern Laos

Mouang Khoua – Phongsaly–Mouang Ngoi – Nong Khiaw – Luangprabang

Day 01: – Tay Trang border gate( Vietnam – Lao) –  Mueang Khoua – Bountai. (-/ L/D) 
After passing the checking point ( Tay Trang – Panghok) you will meet your guide. Then we drive to Meuang Khoua, the peaceful town located on the bank of Nam Ou River, have lunch at a local restaurant in Meuang Khoua, then continue driving To  Bountai on the way via Pak Nam Noy, this area we have a chance to see hill tribe people carrying their things to sell to passengers traveling in this area.  Then we visit several hill tribal villages surrounding Bountai such as Leu, Akha, Phounoy, and Khmu villages and then we reach Bountai, overnight in a local hotel in Bountai.

Day 02: Bountai –  Bounneua – Phongsali. (B/L,/-)
After breakfast, we drive up to Phongsaly, on the way we have a good chance to explore hill tribal villages in Bounneua, as well as, you will catch it’s beautiful mountainous landscape of this area, and then we reach Phongsaly late afternoon. and we take overnight in hotel in Phongsaly.

Day 03: Hill tribe villages trek (-/L/D)
Phongsaly is good for trekking, our team tour is proud to design 01 – 03 three-day trek for you,
the treks let you explore the villages of Phounoy, Akha, Laoseng, and Oma, located surrounding northern Phongsaly.

Day 04:  Phongsali – Hatsa – Muang Khoua – Mouang Ngoi (-/L/D)
Breakfast, transfer to Hatsa Pier, then we take a boat downstream on Nam Ou River via Mouang Khoua. On our boat trip, we stop to visit the hill tribe villages of Laoseng, Phounoy, and Khmu along both banks of the Nam Ou River. Picnic lunch is organized on the boat and then we continue our trip pass through the beautiful landscape. We will reach Mouang Ngoi late afternoon. For dinner and overnight, we will stay at local guesthouses in Muang Ngoi.

Day 05:Mouang Ngoi – Nong Khiaw – Pak Ou cave – Luangprabang(B/L/-)
Breakfast, our excursion by boat on the Nam Ou River, on the way we will stop to visit Pak Ou cave, a famous mysterious cave located on the side of the Mekong River bank with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues. During the boat trip on the Mekong, stops at Ban Xang Hai, this village is famous for producing rice whisky. Then we reach Luangprabang, the world heritage city. Overnight at a hotel in Luangprabang.

Day 06: Luangprabang – half-day City tour – Kwangsi waterfall( – / L/D)
After breakfast, in the morning we explore the world heritage city by visiting the Royal Palace Museum which hosts a range of interesting artifacts, and visit the temples of Wat Sene, Wat Mai, and Wat Xiengthong, the most interesting temple with the charming and sacred temple in Luangprabang. Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon we drive out of the town to Kwangsi waterfall, explore the waterfall, and relax or swim in the swimming pool area of the waterfall, then we drive back to Luangprabang, on the way back we have a nice time to visit a Hmong tribe village.

Day 07: Luangprabang – Departure(-/-/-)Depends on your flight/journey time, taking your relaxing time before transfer to the airport or Bus station for departure.
